In 2011, our journey began with a heartfelt mission. Our founder, a researcher at UPenn, designed a pair of colorblind glasses for his best friend, who had long struggled with color deficiency. Witnessing the joy and wonder of seeing color for the first time was a life-changing moment—one that sparked the creation of Pilestone.
What started as a simple act of friendship has now grown into a global movement. With branches around the world, we've helped over 40,000 people experience the beauty of color. At Pilestone, we believe everyone deserves to see the world in its full vibrancy, and we’re honored to be part of that journey.

Please note that prescription pairs are nonrefundable once production begins. However, you have the option to wear clip-ons, which can be attached to most existing framed glasses.
If you decide to order prescription glasses, here’s what to do:
- After making your purchase, you'll receive an order number.
- Please contact us at support@pilestone.com with your order number and:
- Write "Request lens sample" if you'd like to try sample lenses to find your best match.
- Or write "I waive the right to try samples and take full responsibility if the lens I picked doesn’t work for me" and provide us with your prescription details.
Expect delivery of your prescription colorblind glasses within around 4 weeks. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to provide a solution tailored to your needs.
